Nine members of the Washington County Bird Club and their friends made a one week trip to Costa Rica (February 5-11). Our professional bird guide was Mario Cordoba from Best Adventures Travel in Costa Rica. We stayed at two different locations, namely near the Arenal Volcano in the northern half of the country and Punta Leona along the central Pacific coast. This allowed us to bird in a variety of habitats including rainforest, fresh water wetlands, mangroves and coastal wetlands. Since multiple photographers took photos of the same animals, expect some duplication of images as you look through the album. Enjoy!
